Tuff Rib

Tuff-Rib

Our most popular profile is a versatile exposed-fastener panel broadly referred to as Tuff-Rib and well-suited to both roofing and siding applications. This panel is offered in a variety of stock colors, as well as a number of non-stock colors available with a slightly longer lead time. This panel is available in a 29-gauge thickness, our most economical option.

  • Anti-siphon groove prevents wind-driven rain and water infiltration while safeguarding against siphoning or wicking under the panel lap, ensuring roof deck protection from moisture.
  • 29 gauge
  • Strong and durable Grade 80 steel with a minimum 80,000 lbs/in² yield strength.
  • 36″ coverage
  • 3/4″ rib height
  • 3:12 minimum slope
  • Custom lengths from 3 ft. to 40 ft. or longer.
  • Painted AZ50 Galvalume® steel with industry-leading Sherwin-Williams® WeatherXL™ paint system or mill finish AZ55 Galvalume® steel with a clear acrylic coating.

Standard Color Options

Our standard palette of proven Sherwin-Williams® WeatherXL™ silicone-modified polyester coatings are specially formulated to reflect the sun’s rays before they can be absorbed, keeping your roof cooler than traditional roofing materials and reducing energy use.

Our metal roofing is manufactured using specially designed coatings to help keep your roof and your home cooler. These coatings ensure that our metal roofing has higher solar reflectivity and higher thermal emissivity.

  • Solar Reflectivity (SR): Solar Reflectivity or reflectance is the measure of a material’s ability to reflect solar energy or sunlight from its surface. Solar reflectivity values range from 0 to 1.0, with a value of 0 indicating that the surface absorbs all solar energy and a value of 1.0 indicating total reflectance of the sun’s solar energy.
  • Thermal Emissivity (TE): Thermal Emissivity or emittance is a measure of a material’s ability to release or emit heat so that it stays cool to the touch.
  • Solar Reflectance Index (SRI): The Solar Reflectance Index combines solar reflectivity and thermal emissivity into one number. It’s a measure of the roof surface’s ability to stay cool by reflecting solar radiation and emitting thermal radiation. It’s used to determine compliance with LEED and is calculated using values for reflectance and emissivity.
  • A 40-year limited paint warranty is available.
  • Your final color selection should be made using actual color chips.
